    Automotive Workshop Supervisor

    1. Lead and manage a team of workshop technicians.
    2. Schedule and organize daily tasks, ensuring optimal productivity.
    3. Conduct diagnosis tests and troubleshoot truck failures
    4. Monitor & manage morning schedule checks from all truck drivers and upload the forms and actions on the established platforms.
    5. Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and equipment.
    6. Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize downtime.
    7. Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems to boost MTBF and ensure above 95% truck and equipment uptime
    8. Raise purchase requests and follow up with Procurement on purchase orders raised to ensure spare parts are delivered within the agreed timelines.
    9. Ensure that all maintenance and repair work meets industry standards and safety regulations
    10. Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
    11. Keep logs of work orders (Job cards) in Both hard and soft copies in a chronological and traceable manner
    12. Provide leadership to fellow mechanics and coach drivers
    13. Manage the team of mechanics reporting to them to ensure optimum labor utilization
    14. Repair trucks on need basis to meet agreed timelines
    15. Participate in driver interviews on need basis

    Qualifications

    1. Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or Mechanic of at least Five (5) years.
    2. Excellent knowledge of Truck systems, Plant machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
    3. Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
    4. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
    5. Ability, competence and certification to drive trucks up to 10 wheelers
    6. A diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering or related is preferred
