Broadcast Technician at Comchoice Africa Ltd

Job Purpose

The job holder will be responsible for carrying out of preventive and corrective maintenance and installation of radio or television broadcast equipment in the studios or transmitting stations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain tv & radio broadcast equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
2. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of existing broadcast installations.
3. Implementation of assigned Broadcast infrastructure projects as per the requirements.
4. Operating broadcast equipment in studios, control rooms and OB sites and transmitting stations

Key Competencies

1. Must be conversant with maintenance of broadcast engineering systems / software
2. Demonstrable ability to install, implement and maintain broadcast engineering systems / plants
3. Proven Analytical & problem solving skills when handling faults
4. Able to work without supervision & meet tight deadlines / schedules
5. Ability to work in a team.

Qualification Requirements

1. Must have a Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Telecommunication or related field from a recognized institution.
2. Telecommunication Technician certificate is an added advantage
3. Be Licensed by CA or any other relevant professional body  
4. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Broadcast Technician
