Business Analyst at Interactive Resource Management Ltd

Our client, a leading container freight station in Nairobi is looking to hire a Business Analyst. The ideal candidate for this role should have a proven track record of success in business analysis or similar roles, and possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Role purpose

The Business Analyst supports the General Manager’s office and is responsible for gathering, analyzing, refining, reviewing, and documenting data, and providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Responsibilities

Market Analytics:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitors, and opportunities.
• Analyze data to provide insights into market dynamics and potential business strategies.
• Stay updated on industry news, regulatory changes, and economic indicators.

Reporting:

• Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on Business, competition and market trends.
• Create visually appealing and comprehensive presentations for the GM, Business and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to gather data and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Data Management:

• Collect, organize, and maintain datasets related to market analytics.
• Implement data quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Utilize data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with team members and executives to gather information and insights.
• Collaborate with Partner Government Agencies, cross-functional teams to align market analytics with overall business strategy.
• Present findings and recommendations to the GM, Business and other leadership members.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience (atleast 3 years) in executive assistance and market analytics roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, applications and software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analytics and visualization tools (including Power BI).
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
