    Business Development Consultants

    To achieve the stated objectives, the consultant will provide training with activations where possible in the following areas: 

    Content Creation and Social Media Management: 

    • Training on content creation for new social media platforms (e.g., TikTok) and management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) 
    • Activation session 

    Ecommerce Platforms: 

    • Training on onboarding and utilization of various sub-regional ecommerce platforms in Africa, Middle east and Türkiye (e.g., Jumia, Takealot). Have an activation session for the members. 
    • Optimizing visibility on search engines. 
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as ZOHO. 

    Emerging Trends and Technologies: 

    • Training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies impacting the business environment. 

    B2B Marketing: 

    • Training on participating in B2B trade shows and emerging trends, including setup, preparation, and strategies for success, supported by case studies and practical examples. 

    E-commerce Challenges and Mitigation: 

    • Training on the mitigation of key challenges in e-commerce, including trust, data protection, payment systems, and fraud prevention. 
    • Delivery Management Software: 
    • Training on advanced delivery management software and options for producers in the region(e.g., Onfleet, Bringg, Shipday). 
    • Customs broker software training. 
    • Document Automation Tools: 
    • Training on document automation tools such as UiPath, Rossum, and QuickBooks. 

    Expected Outcomes 

    • The expected outcomes of the training include: 
    • Increased visibility of WFTO AME members in regional trade spaces. 
    • Enhanced digital marketing and ecommerce capabilities among members. 
    • Improved participation in B2B marketing and trade shows. 
    • Greater awareness of emerging technologies and their application in fair trade businesses. 
    • Strengthened ability to address ecommerce challenges such as trust, data protection, and payment systems. 
    • A minimum of 30 activations in selected sessions 

    Reporting and Deliverables 

    • The consultant will be required to submit the following deliverables: 
    • Training Plan: A detailed plan outlining each training sessions' objective, key focus areas, desired outcomes, timelines and methodologies. 
    • Progress Reports: Weekly progress reports detailing the implementation of the training. 
    • Final Report: A comprehensive report summarizing the training outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives. 

    Timeline 

    • The training will take place from April 2025 to May 2025. 

    Region Scope 

    • The training will cover members in the Africa, Middle East, and Türkiye region. 

    Delivery Format 

    • The training will be delivered through virtual advertised information sessions. 

    Languages 

    • The training will be conducted in English, French, and Arabic to accommodate the diverse linguistic needs of the region. 

    Evaluation Criteria 

    • The consultant will be selected based on the following criteria: 
    • Relevant experience in delivering similar training programs. 
    • Expertise in digital marketing, ecommerce, and emerging technologies. 
    • Understanding of Fair Trade and the specific needs of WFTO AME members. 
    • Proposed methodology and approach to the training. 
    • Cost-effectiveness of the proposal.

    Method of Application

    Interested and qualified Consultants are invited to submit their proposal(s) comprising of the following: 

    • An understanding of the consultancy requirements and a short profile description that gives us information about your competences,past experiences, reviews and suitability for the implementation of the assignment, including meaningful CVs. For data protection reasons, we ask you to send the CVs as a separate file; 
    • Methodology and work plan for performing the assignment; 
    • Detailed reference list indicating the scope and magnitude of similar assignments; 
    • Registration and other relevant statutory documents required; 
    • Financial proposal showing clearly the budgeted cost for the work to be conducted (to be submitted in a separate document from the technical proposal); 
    • The preferred format for the submission is PDF for technical proposal and Excel for the budget proposal. Technical and Financial proposals will need to be submitted as separate documents.
