    Cards Sales Officer - Cards & Payments Division

    Job Purpose:

    Reporting to the Cards Issuing Lead , the Card Sales Officer will be responsible to promote relevant eBusiness products and guide the front-line staff members on card products in view of generating leads and concluding sales.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist the team in achieving the sales target set by expanding the card portfolio
    • Identify potential markets/line of business to meet growth objectives and propose sales strategies to improve the quality of business
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and propose corrective measures
    • Suggest process improvement and control mechanism to mitigate any risks involved
    • Monitor product profitability and performance
    • Regularly review branch sales collaterals & SBM website for cards products
    • Perform Competitors Analysis
    • Perform Customer research – prospects and existing customers
    • Collaborate to develop annual sales and marketing plans
    • Perform branch visits to enhance staff knowledge of card products and provide sales guidelines
    • Prepare Business case for cards initiatives/marketing campaigns
    • Design customer acquisition marketing campaigns and collaterals
    • Monitor card sales figures and liaise with relevant teams to take remedial actions
    • Develop and review card issuing procedures & guidelines across various units in the Bank
    • Develop initiatives to improve customer services and experience on cards product
    • Perform Cards product lifecycle management
    • Manage Merchant Discount Programme - Liaise with new and existing merchants and perform monthly update of offers with Marketing Team
    • Drive the credit card reward programme and undertake marketing negotiations with merchant partners so as to secure valuable deals
    • Maintain regular working relationships with merchants and effect regular visits in order to ensure continuity in programme
    • Ensure that credit card campaign mechanisms are adhered to and perform Card Campaign evaluation
    • Follow up on cards system issues/projects to ensure resolution and participate in relevant User Acceptance Testing
    • Provide daily support to Service Units & other departments on card products related queries
    • Perform any other related duties as may be required

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

    • Degree holder in Marketing/Communications/Management/Banking or any related field will constitute an advantage
    • At least 3 years of working experience in sales/card issuing or other control functions
    • Sound understanding of Card products
    • Excellent mastery of basic sales techniques
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Organised team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Flexible, proactive and solution provide
