Job Requirement

A person shall be qualified for appointment to this position if;

• They Possess a Bachelor of laws (LLB) from a recognized University.
• Must have served satisfactorily as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for at least five years post admission to the bar.
• Must be a practicing Advocate in the High Court of Kenya in good standing.
• Must demonstrate leadership problem solving and supervisory skills.
• Must demonstrate competence in Government transactions.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate understanding of Public Procurement
• Demonstrate Knowledge of experience in conveyancing (practice and knowledge)

Job Description

• Providing legal advice on public procurement Public Private Partnership at the request of County Sections and entities.
• Drafting Contracts and agreements on behalf of Departments in the County executive and its entities.
• Negatively, vetting and interpreting agreements for and on behalf of the County executive and its agencies.
• Providing legal advice on all land transactions including the County Government.
• Witnessing all contracts and agreements.
• Providing transactional advice on the restricting of a County Government entities or agencies.
• Undertaking legal due diligence on contracts and partners for Private Public Partnership Projects and other capital-intensive infrastructure projects before their engagement by the County and its entities.
• Drawing Conveyancing instruments for and on behalf of the County Government and its entities.
• Advising the County Executive on property and land transaction matters.
