    Chief Driver

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel;
    • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs;
    • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles systems, maintenance of work tickets for vehicles;
    • Ensuring security of the vehicles;
    • Overseeing safety of the passengers;
    • Ensuring that in the event of an accident, rules/policies and traffic regulations are followed;
    • Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicle;
    • Any other duties as may be assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

    • Be a Kenyan citizen;
    • Holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or KCE Division IV or Kenya Certificate of Primary Education plus 2 year’s relevant experience;
    • Pass suitability test for driver grade;
    • Holder of a valid driving license;
    • At least two (2) years driving experience;
    • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

    PERSONAL QUALITIES IN ADDITIONAL TO THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS.

    • Cautious with defensive driving skills;
    • Excellent time management and organization skills;
    • Ready to work for long hours;
    • Communication skills;
    • Interpersonal skills;
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Attention to detail
    • Collaboration skills
