    Chief Operating Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic and hands-on support to General Managers across all properties to ensure smooth operations, exceptional guest experiences, and profitability.
    • Implement and monitor SOPs, ensuring adherence to brand standards, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
    • Collaborate with the Group MD on new ventures, acquisitions, and expansion projects, including business planning, financial modeling, and operational setup of new properties.
    • Lead brand audits, guest satisfaction initiatives, and innovation strategies to enhance service delivery in line with hospitality trends.
    • Foster a high-performance culture through leadership development, succession planning, and promoting diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
    • Work closely with finance, HR, marketing, and procurement to align operational goals and ensure cross-functional collaboration.
    • Oversee the implementation and optimization of hotel tech systems, including PMS, CRM, RMS, and digital tools enhancing the guest journey.
    • Ensure compliance with governance policies and risk management frameworks; provide performance reports to the board and represent the Group MD when needed.

     Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
    • Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in the hospitality industry, including multi-property oversight
    • Proven track record in growing hospitality brands, launching new properties, and turning around underperforming assets
    • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest experience design, and cost management
    • Deep understanding of East African hospitality trends is an added advantage
    • Able to translate strategy into execution with operational discipline
    • Strong focus on consistency, quality, and reputation
