Clinical Officer - Eremet, Isiolo County at Kenya Medical Research - KEMRI

Key Responsibilities:

• Document all aspects of patient care and maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Developing an in-depth understanding of the study design and goals
• Seeing patients and performing physical exams in outpatient departments
• Accurately and completely filling case report forms
• Making diagnoses and decisions on how to manage patients according to prevailing ministry of health protocols
• Assist in collection and processing of surveillance samples
• Report problems encountered in the field to the Study Coordinator
• Being flexible to work within the existing structures and rules of the health facility

Vacancy Requirements:

• Diploma in clinical medicine;    Mandatory
• Registration Certificate from the Clinical Officers’ Council;    Mandatory
• Membership to a relevant professional body;    Mandatory
• Proficiency in computer application skills    Mandatory
• Be willing to reside near the study site in Isiolo County    Mandatory
• Have a valid Certificate in Good Clinical Practice    Mandatory
• Communication and reporting skills    Mandatory
• Interpersonal skills    Mandatory

• Prior experience working in Isiolo or neighboring counties is an added advantage    Added Advantage
