Clinical Officer (Maternity Reliever) at Kakenya’s Dream

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct appropriate clinical assessment and prescription of treatment tall our patients with the highest level of professionalism.
• Effective referral of patient with cases requiring specialized or/and advanced care.
• Provide healthcare services tKD patients with highest standards of clinical quality, and in compliance with the Kenya clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Attend and participate in CMEs and training of staff whenever called upon.
• Provide health education tKakenya’s Dream school girls whenever assigned.
• Carry out medical and minor surgical procedures as per the guidelines.
• Ensure the clinic treatment rooms are well equipped with necessary equipments and supplies at all times.
• Cover the clinic during weekends and attend temergency cases at night when on call.
• Ensure all patients records are properly documented in the patient data system and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in monthly program outreach activities as assigned.
• Uphold and promote the core principles and practices of Infection Prevention and
• Control and medical waste management.
• Ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by Supervisor from time to time.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education/Academic Qualification

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution

Professional Qualification

• A Kenya Registered Clinical Officer
• Must be active/on the Clinical Officers Council (COC) Retention Register.

Relevant Work Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience
