Community Outreach Program Lead at Bwena Medical Services

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility Area Tasks

• Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement outreach strategies across preventive, pediatric, and reproductive health.
• Identify strategic partnerships and opportunities for community engagement and growth.
• Field Operations Organize and lead community health events, mobile clinics, home visits, and education sessions.
• Provide on-site clinical services including screenings, antenatal/postnatal care, immunizations, and family planning counseling.
• Community Engagement Build and nurture relationships with community leaders, schools, religious institutions, and local health facilities.
• Maintain a robust network of community referrals.

Responsibility Area Tasks

• Service Delivery & Quality    Ensure all services are delivered with cultural sensitivity and high quality.
• Record and report all outreach activities and health services accurately.
• Monitoring & Reporting   Collect data on outreach activities and outcomes; prepare monthly reports.
• Use community feedback to refine strategies and improve service delivery.

Key Requirements

• Qualification: Registered Nurse with a minimum certificate, preferably with a specialization in Community Health Nursing (or Public Health Nursing).
• Field Experience: Experience in community health, including home visits, mobile clinics, and outreach events.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Pokot, Kiswahili, and basic English is essential.
• Community Engagement: Proven passion and experience in community outreach and health education.
• Strategic & Data Skills: Ability to develop effective outreach strategies and track measurable results.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills and the ability to build strategic partnerships and referrals.
• Field Work Readiness: Comfortable working in remote, resource-limited settings for extended periods (90% field time).
