Compliance Intern at International Rescue Committee

Duties And Responsibilities

The intern will provide support in the conduct of investigations into allegations and support prevention initiatives.

In Carrying Out This Overall Function, The Interns Will

• Perform general administrative tasks as advised.
• Assist in updating databases.
• Assist in cataloguing and record keeping.
• Assist with meetings, preparing minutes and reports.
• Assist in preparation and processing of request forms.
• Assist with follow ups in response to compliance requirements.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant social science e.g. law, Criminal Justice/Criminology, sociology, or a comparable field.
• Proven ability to analyze data to report critical information.
• Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate information accurately, clearly and swiftly;
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, in English and Kiswahili a plus.
• Excellent analytical, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently on own initiative
• Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, self-motivation and sense of urgency
• Strong commitment to IRC’s mission, purpose and values.
