Corporate Finance Associate at Komaza Kenya

About the role

The Associate will report to the Corporate Finance Manager and will be based in Nairobi, with regular visits to our other offices (currently Kilifi, Ukunda, Naivasha, Nyandarua county, Kenya).

• We are looking for a skilled Associate to join our team who will support the following activities: 
• Raise debt and equity investments to fund the fast growth of our business; 
• Manage relationships with current and potential future investors, including information management, due-diligence support, and high-quality reporting; 
• Support the development of an innovative new financing structure, with advanced financial modeling and deal structuring;
• Conduct detailed analysis on unit economics, value chain and operations to support the management team in making important decisions for the business; and
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve our internal reporting processes and align them to external processes.
• At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant role such as management consulting, investment banking, private equity, high-growth start-up, etc. 
• A relevant bachelor's degree from a top tier university (good to have relevant masters and / or professional qualifications - CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc.).
• A great communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is able to convey complex information clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally. 
• The right to work in Kenya (Komaza will not sponsor a work permit for this role).
• A team player who is comfortable in a startup environment, working across a number of different projects. 
• Comfortable working in a startup culture that is dynamic, unstructured, and frequently changing with ambitious international expansion plans.
