    Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator

    Superior Homes Kenya PLC is a real estate developer who takes pride in being the pioneer of the open-plan gated community concept in East Africa, which is now recognized as the future for sustainable living in East Africa. Developments under the Superior Homes brand include Greenpark Estate in Athi River, Pazuri at Vipingo and Lake Elementaita Mountain Lodge.

    The CSR coordinator will be primarily responsible for acting as the company’s ‘conscience’, championing and developing the ethical, environmentally-friendly, and community-minded side of a business. The job involves creating links between the business and the community, and raising positive awareness of the company’s commitment to sustainable social responsibility.

    Responsibilities:

    • Developing the foundation arm of the company and policies relating to the company’s ethical, sustainable and environmental responsibilities.
    • Setting up a children’s home in one of our projects.
    • Oversee the running of the children’s home.
    • Developing and maintaining valuable stakeholder relationships.
    • Spearheading fundraising for all CSR activities.
    • Ensuring the company has a positive impact on local communities and the environment.
    • Raising public awareness of a company’s social responsibility commitments through marketing.
    • Developing and implementing the company's social responsibility strategy.
    • Creating partnerships with clients, employees, suppliers, charities, and other groups.
    • Encouraging links between the company and charitable groups.
    • Reporting on social responsibility activities to senior management.
    • Analyze and track sponsorship requests.
    • Developing and maintaining valuable stakeholder relationships.

    Requirements:

    • An undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, or relevant field (desired).
    • 2 years’ experience in CSR community projects.
    • A passion for corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
    • Logical and analytical thinking skill.
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
    • Honesty and integrity when carrying out all tasks.
    • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
    • Good analytical and quantitative reasoning skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize.
    • Highly developed influencing skills.
    • Project management skills.
    • Ability to work closely with a team.
