Data Verification Assistant - 18 Posts at Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NCWSC)

Job Purpose

• To collect data and support the reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) by Verifying customer connection supply status,analysing customer consumption data, monitoring commercial losses, conducting field surveys, and contributing to capacity building initiatives for staff and customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF DATA VERIFICATION ASSISTANT

• Map District Metered Areas (DMAs) boundaries, inflows, and consumption points
• Undertake field data sampling ensuring data accuracy
• Undertake collection of sampled field customer consumption data for analysis of trends and patterns to detect anomalies such as sudden consumption changes, under-registration, or leakage
• Sample consumption of high consumer customers and zero consumption customers
• Collaborate with leakage detection, meter testing, and instrumentation teams to correlate field findings with data analysis
• Sample newly contracted accounts to ensure metering and prompt billing
• Undertake Customer Information Survey (CIS) and Consumption surveys in established DMAs
• Extract relevant data from customer and management systems for baseline and impact analysis reports
• Carryout corrective actions on identified anomalies where necessary
• Train and support staff in GIS data collection, reporting, and use of analytical tools.
• Participate in customer and staff awareness campaigns for NRW reduction initiatives
• Prepare daily, periodic reports as required
• Any other duty as maybe assigned by supervisor

ACADEMIC & PROFFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certificate in business related field OR engineering or IT or Project Management or Trade test /craft course in related field froma recognized learning Institution.
