Job Purpose
- To minimize water losses across the supply network by detecting, monitoring, and facilitating timely repair of leaks, as well as identifying and addressing commercial losses such as illegal connections and bypasses. The role supports operational efficiency, accurate billing, and Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction initiatives
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF LEAK DETECTION/SCOUTING OPERATOR
- Carry out active surveys using acoustic and advanced leak detection technologies.
- Operate serviceable leak scouting and detection equipment and vans
- Undertake routine patrols, inspections, and monitoring of pipelines, valves, and fittings for signs of leakage.
- Monitor detected leaks to ensure timely repair.
- Undertake incidental pipe tracing, location and mapping
- Undertake incidental illegal connections and by-passes detection and pipe tracing requests
- Provide daily & periodic reports as required
- Any other duty as maybe assigned by supervisor

Job Purpose
- To collect data and support the reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) by Verifying customer connection supply status,analysing customer consumption data, monitoring commercial losses, conducting field surveys, and contributing to capacity building initiatives for staff and customers.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF DATA VERIFICATION ASSISTANT
- Map District Metered Areas (DMAs) boundaries, inflows, and consumption points
- Undertake field data sampling ensuring data accuracy
- Undertake collection of sampled field customer consumption data for analysis of trends and patterns to detect anomalies such as sudden consumption changes, under-registration, or leakage
- Sample consumption of high consumer customers and zero consumption customers
- Collaborate with leakage detection, meter testing, and instrumentation teams to correlate field findings with data analysis
- Sample newly contracted accounts to ensure metering and prompt billing
- Undertake Customer Information Survey (CIS) and Consumption surveys in established DMAs
- Extract relevant data from customer and management systems for baseline and impact analysis reports
- Carryout corrective actions on identified anomalies where necessary
- Train and support staff in GIS data collection, reporting, and use of analytical tools.
- Participate in customer and staff awareness campaigns for NRW reduction initiatives
- Prepare daily, periodic reports as required
- Any other duty as maybe assigned by supervisor
ACADEMIC & PROFFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate in business related field OR engineering or IT or Project Management or Trade test /craft course in related field froma recognized learning Institution.

BROAD FUNCTION
- To provide ICT support services at the Region/Stations for all NCWSC ICT systems, applications and hardware. The person will install, administer, monitor and report on performance of all the ICT systems at the region/station. The person supports and cоordinates all ICT activities geared towards enhancing service delivery at the Region/Station.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first line support for enterprise systems, ICT hardware, networks, and communication systems to ensure reliable 24/7 service availability.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network faults in a timely manner to minimize service interruptions.
- Monitor and maintain ICT systems and network infrastructure to achieve a minimum uptime of 99.99%.
- Implement and ensure compliance with ICT policies, standards, and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular and quarterly preventive maintenance on ICT equipment and systems within the assigned region or station.
- Maintain and update the ICT Asset Register to ensure accurate documentation, accountability, and lifecycle tracking of all ICT assets.
- Facilitate staff training and awareness programs to enhance ICT literacy, security awareness, and effective system utilization.
- Regularly patch and update all systems in line with the Company's patch-management and cybersecurity procedures.
- Monitor software licenses and usage to ensure compliance with vendor and Company licensing policies.
- Prepare periodic ICT performance and incident reports, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
- Escalate unresolved technical problems to higher support levels while maintaining comprehensive incident records.
- Participate in ICT audits, inventory verifications, and compliance assessments within the region or station.
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
