Debt Recovery Manager at MMW Advocates LLP

Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver maximum recoveries on behalf of clients through negotiation, restructuring, or legal remedies.
• Develop strategies to minimize costs while optimizing recovery turnaround.
• Strengthen relationships with clients, external partners, and internal teams to enhance debt
• Maintain updated of all databases written-off and and documentation outsourced accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in debt recovery, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven expertise in bad debt management, write-offs, and EDC oversight.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks governing debt recovery in Kenya.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive financial matters. Strong data analysis, reporting, and decision-making capability.
• Must demonstrate results in past recovery roles (quantifiable recoveries, reduced write-offs, or improved turnaround times).
