    Demand Planner

    REPORTING TO: HEAD OF PROCURMENT
    CATEGORY: MANAGERIAL POSITION
    REF NO: IHR-REC-013 -1182022-QAM

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    The key role of the job holder is to ensure company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. The holder shall assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Develop effective forecast models based on retail trends and demand patterns.
    2. Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
    3. Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
    4. Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
    5. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
    6. Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
    7. Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
    2. 3 years’ experience working within the Demand and/or Supply Chain Planning process; Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
    3. Experience with advanced planning software with Supply Planning (eg SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW
    4. Leadership - strategic thinker able to convert transformative ideas to practical solutions that deliver real results
    5. Teamwork – ability to collaborate in inter-company, cross-functional and multi-cultural teams to meet objectives
    6. Results orientation - drives change across the company to deliver measurable results
    7. Organizational agility - possesses the ability to interface with and influence all levels of the organization and across functional boundaries
    8. Must have a very “hands on” approach
    9. Ability to lead or contribute to the evolution of organizations & processes, through people adoption strategies & project management skills
    10. Highly organized and able to prioritize, in a fast-paced environment
    11. Has high standard of execution and a sense of urgency to resolve issues
    12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
    13. Business acumen
