    Kenya Utalii College (KUC) is a leading African hospitality and tourism training institution. Established 47 years ago the College has trained over 60,000 graduates from around the world who continue to serve in the local and international hospitality and tourism industry. The College opened its doors in 1975 and was established under the Hotels and Restaurants Act, (Cap. 494, Laws of Kenya) which has since been replaced by the Tourism Act, 2011.     Deputy Director, Estate Management - 1 Post

    Job description
    Duties and responsibilities entails:

    • Daily coordination of transport facilities and services (work tickets, vehicle cleaning, repairs and maintenance, allocation, insurance, fuelling, accident handling etc.
    • Facilities management (repair & maintenance, management of lease agreement, office space planning, furniture layout, facilities, office parking slots, washrooms, lighting, air circulation etc.)
    • Work environment management in liaison with contractors and service providers (cleanliness, fumigation, emergency procedures, health, fire protection/safety and waste management)
    • Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
    • At least fifteen (15) years working experience three (3) of which must be in a management position
    • A leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
    • Certificate in computer application
    • Membership to a relevant professional body
    • Demonstrated results in work performance
    • Computer literacy
    • Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution

    Person Specifications

    • Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor Degree in relevant field from a recognized institution
    • Thirteen (13) years working experience five (5) of which must be in management level
    • Supervisory Skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution
    • Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
    • A leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks Certificate in computer application
    • Membership to a relevant professional body
    • Demonstrated results in work performance
    • Computer literacy.
    • Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
