    Director Administration

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Initiating, interpreting, implementing, and reviewing administrative strategies, procedures and programme:
    • Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative function in the department
    • Coordinating public service reforms:
    • Overseeing service delivering in the department;
    • Overseeing development of programmes and projects to empower to empower the community
    • Coordinating and facilitating citizen participation in the development of policies plans and delivery of services,
    • Overseeing state custody of county government assets;
    • Coordinating and liaising with other directorates and department in the County
    • Ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and regulatory requirement
    • Ensuring compliance with national values and principles of good governance
    • In addition, the Director will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the departmental strategic plan;
    • Ensuring the review of departmental annual work plans and budgets:
    • Ensuring compliance with principles and values of departmental assets and finances; and overall management and development of staff

    Qualifications:

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have

    • 18 years of experience in public service
    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public\ Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
    • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration; Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution:
    • Diploma in advance Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:
    • Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
    • Certify chapter six (6) of the constitution
