Director Civic Education at Isiolo County Government

Duties and responsibilities

1. To mobilize citizen to participate in Governance and development process
2. To educate people on County governance
3. To train community leaders on management and good governance and to advice the County government on the needs of the community and regions in the county.
4. To conduct education on the constitution and national and county laws.
5. To oversee the formation and working of citizen forum in all parts of the county
6. Working with youth, women, person with disability and marginalized communities and any other sectors in delivery of the public education.
7. Exercising of any other functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board.

Requirement for appointment

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences from a university recognized in Kenya with not less than 10 years’ experience
• Master’s degree in social sciences or its equivalent from recognized institution 
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of devolution, the county development objectives and vision 2030
• Satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution
• Certificate in strategic leadership development programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from recognized institution
• Certificate in computer application from recognized institution
