What You’ll Be Driving:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute actuarial strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
• Provide expert insights to senior management on risk, pricing, and profitability.
• Lead actuarial input in strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives.
• Actuarial Modeling & Analysis:
• Oversee the development and enhancement of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and risk management.
• Monitor financial risks, loss ratios, and market trends to inform business strategies.
• Conduct scenario testing, sensitivity analysis, and capital modeling.
• Risk Management & Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards (e.g., IFRS, Solvency II, local regulatory requirements).
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and auditors to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Establish sound actuarial controls and governance frameworks.
• Product Development & Pricing:
• Lead the design and pricing of insurance products to optimize profitability and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, and marketing teams to drive innovation and market penetration.
• Provide actuarial insights into product performance and customer value propositions.
• Financial Reporting & Valuation:
• Oversee the preparation of actuarial reports and financial statements.
• Drive accurate valuation of liabilities and ensure effective management of reserves.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Team Leadership & Development:
• Manage and mentor a team of actuarial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Develop talent pipelines and provide guidance on professional actuarial qualifications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance overall business acumen within the organization.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Fellowship or Associate membership of a recognized actuarial body (e.g., FIA, FSA, ASA).
• Minimum of 10+ years of actuarial experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
• Strong expertise in actuarial modelling tools and software (e.g., Prophet, SAS, R, Python).
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, risk management principles, and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record in leading complex actuarial projects and driving business impact.
