    Distribution Manager

    Job Summary:

    Based in Nairobi and working closely with the Lubricants Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all distribution activities to ensure availability of Lubricant products at always required locations.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all primary and secondary distribution plans of lubricant products.
    • Support Supply Planning team in primary distribution for all Lubricants products from Raw & Packaging materials to Finished Good.
    • Support Customer service team in secondary distribution for all finished Lubricants 
    • Responsible for being the primary liaison between the 3PL and the organization. Works with the 3PL to ensure that all Internal Sales Orders and Customer orders are appropriately prioritized and fulfilled on time and in full on a daily basis. 
    • Facilitate the continuous improvement processes at the 3PL; ensure that there are regular KPIs and SLAs reviews with the 3PL and that the required action plans are created and executed to closure.
    • Contribute to cost optimizations and contract negotiations with our service providers
    • Ensure that the 3PL interface is functioning as expected.
    • Ensure prompt processing of service providers’ invoices.
    • Strong engagement with Supply Planning, Customer service as well as multiple other cross-functional groups to meet company goals.
    • Identify benchmark activities at the 3PL and share them with the team.
    • Keep up to date with knowledge of industry standards.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree with Supply Chain, Engineering; Logistics, Technology, Operations, or related experience, degree in business management preferred.
    • At least Five (5) years of experience in warehousing operations with a sound working knowledge of material handling procedures, Warehouse Management System (WMS), System Integration, and Transportation.
    • Experience in Project Management
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
