Diver 2 (Administration Assistant 2) - General Services at Central Bank of Kenya

Job Purpose

• As an entry level driver position reporting to the Transport Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for transporting staff and CBK visitors in a safe and timely manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive Bank’s passengers and any other authorized passengers to approved destinations in a safe and timely manner.
• Execute daily work instructions in accordance with the work schedules in the Transport Office.
• Ensure compliance with the CBK transport operating procedures, traffic laws and regulations.
• Deliver vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc repairs and maintenance at the Bank’s appointed garages and arrange collection upon completion of the job.
• Prompt reporting of accidents and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
• Daily vehicle inspections and prompt reporting of any malfunction or defects that need attention to the immediate supervisor.
• Punctuality in reporting to work and maintaining general cleanliness of vehicles assigned.
• Ability to maintain and care for vehicle work ticket(s) for vehicle(s) assigned.
• Maintenance of good working relationships with internal and external and external clients.
• Ensure security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and/or goods therein.

Qualifications

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (minus) and above.
• Valid driving license for the following vehicle categories B, C1, & D2. Possession of a license to operate other vehicle categories D3 and G will be a significant advantage.
• A First Aid Certificate Certification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

Work Experience

• At least three (3) years driving experience.
• Experience in Defensive Driving.
