JOB SUMMARY

• We are looking for a reliable, responsible and safety-conscious driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of fresh farm produce, ensuring proper handling of products, maintaining the assigned vehicle, supporting delivery operations and completing the required documentation and reports to ensure efficient logistics operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Care 

• Maintain the freshness and quality of produce during transport by following company protocols for handling
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure product is securely loaded and not damaged

Vehicle Maintenance 

• Regularly inspect the truck to ensure it is in good working order, including vehicle cleanliness
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs on time

Fuel Management 

• Maintain proper fuel records and submit required documentation
• Report any unusual fuel consumption or discrepancies to the relevant supervisor
• Monitor and accurately record fuel consumption and mileage

Customer Interaction

• Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional when interacting with customers during deliveries
• Address any customer concerns regarding delivery or produce quality, and report back as needed

Assistance in Offloading

• Assist in offloading of products at delivery points, ensuring proper handling to prevent bruising or damage to the products

Requirements

• KSCE certificate or relevant certificate qualification (Minimum Educational Qualification)
• Must have a Valid Kenyan driving license
• At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in delivery, FMCG, fresh produce or distribution in Nairobi
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and routine safety checks
• Ability to handle fresh produce carefully during loading, transportation and offloading
• Reliable, punctual, responsible and safety-conscious
