Economics Consultant Trainer at Indepth Research Services (IRES)

We are seeking an experienced Economics Consultant Trainer to design, develop, and deliver high-impact training programs in economic theory, policy analysis, and applied economics. The trainer will empower professionals and organizations to make data-driven decisions and understand the economic forces shaping Kenya and the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update training materials and modules on macroeconomics, microeconomics, and economic policy analysis, ensuring alignment with current trends and local context.
• Deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars for diverse audiences, focusing on practical applications of economic concepts.
• Incorporate real-world case studies, hands-on exercises, and interactive learning to enhance participant understanding.
• Guide participants in economic data analysis, interpretation of economic indicators, and policy evaluation.
• Stay abreast of emerging economic trends and integrate new developments into training content.
• Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve methodologies based on feedback.
• Support organizations in economic planning, strategy, and policy formulation.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Applied Economics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in economic research, analysis, or policy advisory.
• Proven experience in training, capacity building, or professional development.
• In-depth knowledge of Kenya’s economic landscape and policy environment.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
