Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, the candidate participates in routine inspection, installation, testing, commissioning, training, service and maintenance electrical power systems and equipment
Duties and responsibilities
Troubleshooting and timely resolution of electrical faults
Carry out installations, testing and commissioning of electrical items
Carrying out of periodic preventive maintenance of electrical systems
Conducting audits on electrical wiring and other installations to ensure compliance with safety
Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Servicing of diesel generators, transformers, inverters, rectifier, UPS and other power components
Training the users on electrical equipment and systems to ensure safety and durability.
Maintenance of solar power system to ensure they are producing power optimally
Assist in calibration of biomedical equipment when called upon
Collecting information on electrical installations for input into the integrated health information management system;
Requirements:
Diploma or Artisan Certificate in Electrical Engineering or any relevant discipline with further training in electrical engineering. Extensive experience can be considered in lieu of academic background.
3+ years of relevant experience preferably within a busy healthcare facility or electrical engineering establishment
Ability to troubleshoot basic biomedical equipment and mechanical faults is an added advantage.

Good communication skills and decision-making skills

Able to interpret and implement technical drawings
