V/NO. 6/2021: ENVIRONMENT OFFICER JOB GROUP ‘K’ (3 POSTS)

 Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

• implementing county environmental management plans;
• participating in environmental audits and following up implementation of the recommendations;
• maintaining register on compliance to environmental legislation, propose corrective actions and follow up on implementation;
• complying with occupational health and safety programs;
• coordinate environmental education and education;
• carry out environmental inspection and promoting environmental quality; and
• complying with the county’s environment management

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Membership to Environmental Institute of Kenya or relevant professional body; and
• Certificate in computer application
