    Examinations Administrator - 2 Posts

    Job Description
    The duties and responsibilities will entail:

    Examination Management

    • Receiving, sorting, and filing registration of candidates' documents from the sub-county directors of education and heads of institutions;
    • Verifying and amending registration data;
    • Coordinating the sorting of green/blue bags;
    • Preparing materials required for the centering of the examination;
    • Compiling documentary evidence for resolving examination and certificates queries;
    • Assigning examination and certificates related queries to the Principal Examination Administration Assistants;
    • Checking, packing, and dispatching nominal rolls;
    • Packing and dispatching examination/assessment materials;
    • Participating in the activities of marking during the marking process in the marking centre;
    • Documenting reading of candidates' scripts;
    • Packing and dispatching examination/assessment results printouts, results slips, and academic certificates;
    • Processing the examination results;
    • Preparing reports of examination activities;
    • Implementing strategic plan targets and appraising the Examination Administration Assistant;
    • Act as team leader of the Examination Administration Assistants.

    Field Administration

    • Packing and dispatching of supervision and invigilation documents;
    • Preparing schedules for the marking exercise for the respective examinations;
    • Preparing schedules for recruitment and training of examiners/assessors;
    • Preparing reports for the respective examination activities;
    • Coordinating the cleaning of green bags;
    • Advising on the list of examiners’ details for promotion and retirement;
    • Compiling records of assessment of Practical, Aurals, and Orals from examiners;
    • Documenting reading of candidates' scripts;
    • Packing and dispatching of examination results printouts, results slips, and academic certificates;
    • Participating in the packing of supervision circulars and other documents for the administration of examinations/assessments;
    • Participating in the processing of marking centres' institutional and examiners' bills;
    • Keeping and maintaining examiners' registers at the marking centers;
    • Implementing strategic plan targets and appraising the Examination Administration Assistant;
    • Supervising Examination Administration Assistants.

     Qualification and Experience

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution;
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
    • Demonstrated competence and merit in work performance;
    • Proficiency in computer applications;
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
