Executive - Logistics at Shalina Healthcare

What you become a part of:  

The successful candidate will drive process excellence for warehouse, logistics and other supply chain (local) activities for our operations in Africa. 

What to expect: 

• Supervises and personally inspects deliveries/ stocks dispatches scheduled on a regular basis. 
• Surveys inventory levels on a monthly basis and creates and/or presents monthly inventory reports to Business managers in a pre-approved format as per company SOP. Also, performs daily & weekly inventory inspections from time to time. 
• Negotiates optimum commercials and other terms with freight-forwarding agents, especially for Inter-OU transfer (within OU) and to other locations. 
• Co-ordinates with govt. agencies, clearing agents and central supply chain team (Dubai) for clearing shipments(containers) in transit from port berth till they’re offloaded in the company warehouse. 
• Oversees stock transfer from central warehouse to shops/depots for weekly or ad-hoc supply requirements. 
• Ensures best practices, company policy/SOP, FDA guidelines compliance for warehousing (GSDP) logistics, dispatch control procedures including quarterly pest-control, fumigation exercises. 
• Undertakes quarterly visits to other office locations within Ghana for stock/inventory inspections. 

Essential skills, experience & education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, others is mandatory. Specialization in science or pharma is preferred. 
• 6 – 10 years’ experience in logistics and warehouse management activities within the Supply Chain function for a multi-country matrix organization. 
• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical, consumers goods or healthcare-adjacent setting is highly preferred. 
• Reasonable proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications. 
• Highly organized and systematic with a good understanding of sales/customer facing commercial environments. 
• Experience working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues.
