    Field Marketing Officer

    Your mission at Sistema.bio

    Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for generating leads through Below The Line (BTL) activities. You will plan, execute & report on the different activities and look for new partnerships in the industry to increase our reach and create more awareness while supporting the sales team. 

    You’ll be in charge of:

    • Strategizing, building and executing integrated Below The Line (BTL) campaigns with your line manager on a quarterly and monthly basis while staying in line with budget 
    • Liaising with Sales Training Coordinator to train Sales Agents on Agroecology benefits per regional training plans
    • Maintaining a list of new marketing opportunities with local partners and networks
    • Maintaining a purpose business plan for the new marketing opportunities with the aim of turning those relationships into sales in collaboration with the marketing coordinator and the Kenya commercial lead
    • Designing and executing training needs for both internal and external stakeholders
    • Supporting the continued operational excellence of the demonstration farms
    • Generating & capturing leads on TaroWorks from partner events, farmer forums and demo events

    More about YOU

    • You have at least 3 years of experience in working with farmer groups, community-based activities or rural product promotion.
    • You have a Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Agriculture.
    • You have a good understanding of the Kenyan landscape, socio-demographics and market segments in rural settings.
    • You have a good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods.
    • You have strong knowledge of MS Office and marketing software (e.g., Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System)
    • You have experience in: 
      • Carrying out marketing efforts, including planning, prioritizing and implementing strategy.
      • Telesales / direct sales.
      • Customer support experience.

    • Great commercial awareness
    • Highly organized and proficient at managing multiple projects at the same time
    • Skillful at networking, communicating and great interpersonal skills
    • Creative, innovative and always thinking outside the box
    • Ability to create and manage key partnerships with local organizations/industry stakeholders who can help to build community relations

    Location, travel and start date

    • Based in Mt.Kenya region
    • Travelling up to 60% of your time across Central and Mt. Kenya region
