Field Sales Trainee - Nairobi West (Congo) at Poa Internet

Role Responsibilities:

•  Identify and engage with potential customers in your assigned territory and build strong customer relationships.
• Conduct daily sales visits and develop a sales funnel of potential customers.
• Represent Poa! brand professionally and enthusiastically when educating customers on our product and ensure 100% adherence to the prescribed sales process.
• Meet and achieve the monthly sales targets set for the role, with guidance and support from the line manager.
• Maintain good attendance, consistently use the required systems, and submit daily sales activity reports accurately and on time.
• Manage customer relationships during the incubation period by minimizing delinquency and churn within your assigned territory.
• Observe and share relevant market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to support informed decision-making.
• Provide structured field feedback on existing and proposed products and solutions to support product improvement and development.
• Support engagement with landlords and property managers and develop positive working relationships within the assigned territory.
• Participate in coaching, training, and other learning activities designed to build the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for success in the Field Sales Representative role.

Academic Qualifications required:

• Certificate, Diploma or degree in a relevant field.

Key competencies required for the role:  

• Strong communication & negotiation skills with the ability to handle objections and close deals.
• Self-motivation and resilience: A relentless attitude, and go-getter mindset with the ability to find new ways and creative ways to attract and convert customers.
• Good work planning capabilities to allow for forecasting and building a credible pipeline of potential clients.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills, working effectively within the team and across cross-functional departments to achieve shared objectives.
• Exhibit high levels of discipline and consistently adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Experience selling home internet services or working with low-income and informal communities will be an added advantage.     

Mandatory criteria with no exceptions to hire:

• Show strong will and passion for sales and be able to own and deliver sales targets, in a business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) set up.
