Finance Manager at Execafrica Recruitment Limited

Our client, Dejavu Technologies is a registered company in Kenya that deals with selling and after sales service of I.T related products and services and they are looking for a Finance Manager. Main responsibilities are preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Responsibilities:

1. Document financial transactions by entering account information
2. Monthly tax return filling
3. Ensure conformity with statutory obligations
4. Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
5. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
6. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
7. Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
8. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
9. Secure financial information by completing database backups
10. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
11. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
12. Provide technical support and advice on management
13. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
14. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
15. Provide input into department's goal setting process
16. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
17. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
18. Plan, assign and review staff's work
19. Support month-end and year-end close process

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Finance Manager
2. Bachelor’s degree in finance
3. CPA (K)
4. ICPAK Member,
5. Awareness of business trends
6. Experience with creating financial statements
7. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
8. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
