Job Summary

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a C grade from Kenya National Examination Council or its equivalent.
• Fireman III Certificate in Fire Prevention and Protection Services or its accepted equivalent from a recognized Fire Services Training Institution.
• Be between 21 years and 30 years of age.
• Be at least 5ft 4” (1.62m) in height.
• Have a minimum of chest measurements of 38 inches (0.97m) when expanded.
• Have passed medical and strength tests.
• Have served for a minimum of five (5) years in a large organization or a Municipality. 8. Have served in the grade of fireman I, in a
• comparable and relevant position for at least one (1) year
• Have a heavy commercial driving license.

Responsibilities

• Operation of fire pumps and water rescue appliance ensuring that fire appliances assigned to him are properlycmaintained.
• Ensuring that servicing tools, cartridges and refills are ready before serving commences.
• Ensuring that right mixtures are used and that proper equipment is sited where required.
• Operating fire-fighting exercise or during demonstrations and training the Junior Firemen.
• Inspection, maintenance and testing of fire appliances.
• Instilling discipline among his crew.
• Implementation of service orders and instructions.
• Conducting fire demonstrations;
• Accounting for all servicing tools before and after maintenance service and deployment of firemen in various areas.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
