Fleet and Logistic Assistant II at County Government of Nyandarua

Requirements for appointment

• Diploma in operations & dispatch or in fleet management or in locomotives from a recognized institution
•  Computer application from a recognized institution

Duties & Responsibilities

 Vehicle Maintenance and Services;

• Ensure that scheduled services for all fleet vehicles are completed on time and in accordance with company policies;
• Research and verify that service and repair costs are competitive with market prices to ensure cost-effectiveness;
• Monitor and ensure that all contracted repairs are completed satisfactorily and meet quality standards;

Driver Supervision

• Supervise and support all drivers, providing guidance and addressing any driver-related issues that arise.

Compliance and Audits

• Ensure all vehicle repairs and services comply with approved frameworks and safety standards.
• Conduct monthly vehicle audits to assess operational vehicles and identify any that are grounded or in need of further attention.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of vehicle services, repairs, and audits to provide transparency and accountability.
• Prepare reports on fleet performance, service costs, and audit findings for management review.
