    Flight Operations Intern

    PRIMARY PURPOSE

    • To provide hands-on support to the flight operations team in ensuring the smooth handling of passengers, aircraft, and cargo. This internship offers a practical learning opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in aviation operations.
    • *This position is based in Wilson Airport, Nairobi

    Detailed Responsibilities

    • Assist in delivering high standards of customer service both at the office and on the airside.
    • Support the preparation of general declaration forms and other flight documentation for arrivals and departures.
    • Help coordinate the timely and safe loading and unloading of aircraft in line with standard operating procedures.
    • Assist in checking and weighing baggage to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
    • Prepare ground handling equipment such as trolleys, handcarts, and wheelchairs for incoming flights.
    • Adhere strictly to safety and operational procedures at all times to ensure the safety of staff, passengers, and aircraft.
    • Support administrative tasks with confidentiality, good judgment, and professionalism.
    • Provide support to other Governors’ Aviation team members as needed.
    • Follow instructions from supervisors and coordinators without fail.
    • Assist with communication to agents regarding flight operational changes.
    • Support beverage management and stock handling for flight operations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the operations team.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Qualification:

    • Recently completed training at a recognized Aviation Training Institution
    • A secondary school certificate is required.

    Experience:                    

    • Any previous aviation-related internship or work experience is an added advantage

    Skills:           

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Eagerness to learn and ability to follow instructions.
    • Must be a team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
