Food Safety Packhouse Officer at Agricycle East Africa

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all production operations in the Packhouse
• Ensure 100% of outbound ingredients are of top quality and free of any QA/QC issues
• Implement production activities schedules 
• Monitor and supervise the packhouse staff and handle their attendance 
• Ensure food health and  safety  standards are well practiced in the Packhouse
• Report the staff level needed for smooth sorting and packing operations
• Ensure packaging technical specifications are observed in the packing activities.
• Prepare reports on operations and reporting  on daily bases to the Director, East Africa. .
• Manage storage facilities and maintain the equipments for proper utilization
• Supervise  processes and identify inefficiencies that can be removed in Packhouse production activities.
• Accomplish any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years of demonstrable experience in production,logistics or supply chain management.
• At least 1 year of food safety experience
• University degree or advanced work experience in logistics, supply chain management, project management, business management or other related fields.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to speak and write in English fluently.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, strong work ethic and unimpeachable integrity.
• Readiness and ability to regularly perform under pressure and within short timeframes.
• Readiness to travel anywhere in East Africa and sometimes work odd hours to match US time zones.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer applications, especially: gmail and google drive.
