Front Office Assistant at Nairobi Hospital

REF: TNH/HRD/FOA/04/2021 (CONTRACT TERMS)

Reporting to the Credit Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth flow of patient journey from admission to discharge.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Registration and Booking Management
   1. Registration of patients in the Kranium System
   2. Advance booking of patient in Clinics before the appointment date where applicable.
   3. Ensuring services are rendered to bonafide corporate scheme beneficiaries.
   4. Validating corporate patients ensuring correct documentation is given and properly filed and liaising with insurance companies regarding pre-authorization.
   5. Integration of inpatient records, outpatient records and outpatient centres patient records.
2. Billing & Authorization
   1. Billing of patient.
   2. Receiving and receipt correctly funds as per the source document.
   3. Processing patient admission liaising with the Nurse for bed allocation and admitting Doctor.
   4. Seeking authorization for emergency admission.
   5. Ensuring all claim forms are signed by the Doctor and attached to the invoices then forwarded to the Senior Cashier at the end of a shift.
   6. Dropping funds receipted onto the drop-in safe, when applicable.
   7. Banking all receipts with Chief Cashier.
   8. Inventory Management.
3. Customer Care
   1. Ensuring consistency on the customer care standards and telephone etiquette are maintained at all times.
   2. Establishing accurate, honest and positive relationship with internal and external customer.
4. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• CPA Part 2 or Diploma in Front Office Operations
• At least one (1) year experience
• Good working knowledge of Ms Excel.
• Good interpersonal and Communication skills.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Basic Life Support.
