    General Manager(Destination Management Company)- Nairobi

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Develop and execute a strategic business plan aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
    • Lead local and international contracting with hotels, lodges, and tour operators, ensuring the best possible rates and value additions.
    • Use advanced negotiation tactics to maximize profitability and build strong supplier relationships.
    • Oversee marketing, sales, and digital strategies to enhance visibility and drive online bookings.
    • Expand international client networks through partnerships, expos, and trade fairs.
    • Ensure operational excellence in reservations, logistics, and customer experience.
    • Lead and mentor staff to create a high-performance culture focused on service and results.
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance while optimizing cost efficiency.
    • Represent Glory Safaris in trade fairs and stakeholder engagements locally and internationally.

    Key Requirements.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • 8–10 years of experience in the safari, DMC, or hospitality industry, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
    • Strong negotiation and contracting experience with local hotels and international operators.
    • Proven track record in digital marketing, online travel platforms, and CRM systems.
    • Strong financial, operational, and leadership skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
    • Visionary leader with a results-driven mindset.
    • Exceptional negotiator with strong business instincts.
    • Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital transformation.
    • Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
    • Passionate about tourism, wildlife, and guest experiences.
