Hospital Accountant at Scion Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate financial and management accounting reports.
• Maintaining effective hospital internal control systems and procedures.
• Providing accurate and timely management accounting reports and business performance data.
• Producing forecasts for income and expenditure on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Preparing Payables and Receivables reports
• Setting control measures for petty cash expenditures, reviewing petty cash requests, and ensuring accuracy and accountability of the petty cash expenditures before approval.
• Providing relevant and timely monthly statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Updating records for fixed assets and all other financial documents as necessary, including maintaining the asset register for accuracy and timely updates and conducting regular asset verification exercises.
• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities as may be needed from time to time

Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance or its equivalent
• CPA K qualification or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience ( Hospital experience is an added advantage)
• Ability to handle demands situations and work with minimum supervision
• Computer Packages Competence
