Hot Air Balloon Operations Manager at Little Kitchen Help Ltd

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Balloon Operations Manager to oversee and manage our client's hot air balloon operations in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in balloon aviation, with preference given to those who have served as a balloon pilot or captain. This role requires a strong leader with excellent operational, safety, and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day balloon operations, including flight planning, scheduling, and logistics
• Manage and supervise balloon pilots, ground crew, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with local aviation laws and international safety standards
• Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate maintenance and inspections of balloon equipment and vehicles
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols across all operations
• Liaise with local authorities, air traffic control, and other regulatory bodies as needed
• Support marketing and guest relations efforts to enhance the customer experience
• Monitor and report on operational performance, incidents, and resource utilization
• Train and mentor staff to maintain high standards of professionalism and service

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior experience managing balloon operations is essential
• Balloon pilot license or experience as a balloon captain is preferred
• Deep understanding of aviation safety, weather conditions, and airspace regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in dynamic environments
• Comfortable working in remote areas and coordinating logistics in the field
• Proficiency in basic computer and reporting tools
