    HR Data Entry & Support – Short Term Contract

    Programme Overview

    SNV is and has been engaged by various donors to reach millions of people by executing programmes in agriculture, renewable energy and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene). In Kenya, SNV is implementing several exciting projects in various counties in Kenya. SNV country office is located in Nairobi, but has field offices in Eldoret, Nanyuki, Kakuma and other locations.

    Summary

    To implement projects SNV works with consultants who undertake short-term assignments that require expertise that is not available in-house. SNV develops a roster/database of consultants to ensure efficiency of hiring consultants by way of making a call for expression of interest by interested and qualifying consultants (consultancy firms). The HR department is developing a roster to register firms and individuals who are interested and qualified to provide consultancy services to support the different projects in implementation. This therefore means that SNV will be receiving Expression of Interest (EoIs) and will then need to sort through the documents received and correctly store the data in the roster/database.

    Job Description

    SNV is recruiting a HR Data Entry Assistant/consultant to support process of receiving, sorting and reviewing the received documents and entering the correct data into the roster.  The consultant will report to the Human Resources Officer. S/he will be based in Nairobi.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor the Expression of Interests received on the internal recruitment portal.
    • Retrieve and review the EOIs and sort them according to the required categories
    • Enter the correct data into the roster and ensure completeness as per the procurement policy
    • Support the Due Diligence process as per the Procurement Policy
    • Respond to the applicants on the outcome of their submission
    • Support the general HR filing process
    • Provide General Support to the HR department as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business management or related field.
    • Proficient with MS Office and office equipment
    • Attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Knowledge of and skills in contracting & procurement.
    • At least 2 years relevant working experience with an international non-governmental organisation.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of donor regulations and compliance issues related to procurement of consultancy services.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Result-driven.
    • Highest level of integrity.
