    Human Resource and Administration Officer II

    Job Ref: HRAO - KVVPI / 002/12/2019
     
    Reporting to the Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer.
     
    Duties and responsibilities

    • Payroll Administration and associated activities
    • Handling staff benefits matters i.e. Pension, housing, health etc
    • Processing of claims and benefits;
    • Filing of statutory returns to the relevant bodies 
    • Managing the staff welfare programmes 6. Interpreting service regulations and policies, circulars and communicate the same to staff. 
    • Preparing of reports and summaries on Human Resource and Administration functions
    • Collection, Compiling and Updating of Human Resources statistics for various uses.
    • Assisting in the implementation of Board Resolutions
    • Drafting of correspondences for the signatures of the seniors
    • Keeping and updating confidential files for officers
    • Assisting in the Monitoring and Evaluation of various HR and Administration programmes.

    Requirements for Appointment

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from a recognized Institution;
    • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (KNEC) or Certified Human Resource Practitioner Part II (Section 3 & 4) 
    • Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management with valid membership
    • Proficiency in Computer Packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Three (3) years’ experience in Payroll Administration and filing of Statutory Returns

    Core competencies:

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to make timely and quality judgments and decisions
    • Good interpersonal and team building skills necessary to drive initiatives and achieve results
