    Human Resource Officer

    Job Description

    • Manage the complete employment cycle in the organisation i.e. Recruitment, selection, on boarding, training, performance management, retention and exit. This will be done by ensuring that there are sound tools, policies and procedures in place.
    • Policy management – Guide management and employee’s actions by researching, developing, communicating and updating policies, procedures, methods guidelines and communications.
    • Ensure all employees are sensitized on company policies through handbooks and education forums.
    • Coordinate organisational communication forums geared towards performance improvement and enhanced engagement.
    • Manage retention of all staff through sound recruitment and retention strategies
    • Ensure all employees are well aware of their responsibilities through issuance of proper JDs and contracts of employment.
    • Ensure compliance to employee records in accordance with the law and audit requirements.
    • Motivate the employees through various engagements initiatives and welfare activitiescelebrates team successes.
    • Manage staff benefits and rewards geared towards having engaged staff
    • Discipline management – ensure legal compliance to discipline management, minimise disciplinary issues through policy sensitization for improved productivity.
    • Management of the staff payroll to ensure that there is statutory compliance
    • Develop and inculcate a culture of performance in the whole organisation.

    Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or Social Sciences from a recognised institution
    • Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • Must be a member of Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) with a valid practicing certificate.
    • Over 5 years managerial HR experience, preferably in a horticultural setup.
    • Professional competence in HR
    • Good understanding of labour laws.
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
