ICT Development Operations Officer – CICAM at CIC Insurance

PURPOSE:

• To analyze user requirements, translating them into technical specifications, design and develop applications for CIC Asset Management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyzing user requirements and translating them into technical specifications and design documents for CIC Asset Management systems.
• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and mobile application using programming languages such Java script, PHP and Flutter CIC Asset Management
• Integrate software with existing systems for CIC Asset Management
• Collaborating with other members all stake holders such as designers and testers, to ensure that the software meets the desired functionality, usability, and performance requirements through code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure that the software is delivered on time and meets quality standards.
• Debugging software to identify and resolve issues, such as bugs, errors, or performance bottlenecks.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, and code comments.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software development and technology, and continuously learning new skills and tools.

Person Specifications

Academic Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

Professional Qualifications

• CPA or Certificate in credit control management will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Up to two (2) years’ relevant experience

Skills and Attributes

• Must have strong knowledge of PHP
• Must have strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MSSQL PostgreSQL
• Must have experience with code versioning tools such as Git
• Must have experience with REST API development
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
