ICT Officer at North Coast Medical Training College

Core Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the institution's network infrastructure including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime. •Manage ICT assets, servers, and computers; perform regular maintenance and hardware/software upgrades. •Provide timely technical support and helpdesk assistance to staff and students on hardware, software, and network systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of ICT systems, software licences, and operational procedures. •Support e-learning management systems (LMS) and school management systems (ERP) •Develop and maintain ICT disaster recovery, data backup, and business continuity plans.
• Train staff and students on effective and secure use of ICT resources.
• Maintain the organization's website and other digital platforms.

Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in an ICT role.
• Demonstrated background in networking.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware (Huawei, Cisco, MikroTik, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and data protection best practices. •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Added Advantage:

• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA or equivalent.
