    Inspector - Explosives - 22 Posts

    For appointment to this grade

    • An officer must have a Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Explosives Science/ Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/ Engineering, Chemistry and Physics from a university recognized in Kenya.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    This is an entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-

    • Carrying out safety and technical inspections of Explosives magazines;
    • Writing reports and Preparing safety notices;
    • Preparing permits under the Explosives Act;
    • Inspect explosives and fireworks; and
    • Inspect quarries/mines.
