Intergovernmental and Diaspora Relations Officer at Uasin Gishu County Government

QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for Appointment: -

• A Bachelor’s degree holder in international relations & Diplomacy or its related from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meets deadlines and develops innovative recommendations and solutions to problems; and
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Participate in the linkage between the county and the respective stakeholders and other relevant offices at the County.
• Coordinate donor and diaspora engagement meetings.
• Coordinate logistics and accommodation arrangements of county officers and relevant stakeholders/investors on official duties
• Attend regular intergovernmental and sectoral meetings as delegated by the authorized officer
• Conduct periodic research of thematic areas from time to time and provide balanced analysis and assessment to inform the County Government on Intergovernmental and Diaspora Relations issue
• Set and oversee internal operating rules and regulations on Intergovernmental and Diaspora Relations
• Communicate decisions, reports and plans of the Intergovernmental and Diaspora activities
• Coordinate the implementation of decisions of intergovernmental relations;
• Coordinate consultations and cooperation between County Government and the stakeholders and Manage its agreements and memorandum of understandings; and
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
