Investment Analysts at Uncap

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As Investment Analyst you are supporting the Investment Principal with investment activities and portfolio management. You will make data-driven decisions to tailor and adapt our investment product, contribute to the selection process, and inform the ongoing development of the portfolio management tool. We are looking for someone who can grow into a more senior role, and further strengthen the investment team.​

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on deviations from established benchmarks.

Data Collection and Analysis:

• Collect, organize, and analyze monthly reports from portfolio companies.
• Utilize financial models and analytical tools to interpret data and identify trends.

Payment Tracking:

• Track monthly payments from portfolio companies and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payments and resolve discrepancies.

Trend Analysis:

• Conduct trend analysis to identify patterns and insights that inform decision-making.
• Work closely with the investment team to provide meaningful recommendations based on data analysis.

Reporting:

• Prepare comprehensive reports on the business and financial performance of portfolio companies.
• Present findings to investment principal and contribute insights.
• Contribute to the continuous alignment of investee reporting with funders’ requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with investment, and product team to align on data requirements and platform adjustments.
• Assist in the development and improvement of data collection processes.

SKILLS

• A graduate degree in Finance, or Business Administration.
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data analysis.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Proactive and self-driven with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
