Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee the organization\'s IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, data protection, and technology operations.
• The ideal candidate must have strong experience working in a regulated environment, particularly within banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions, or other highly regulated organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization\'s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and applications.
• Ensure reliable availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure IT operations comply with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Manage cybersecurity, access controls, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and manage IT risks, vulnerabilities, incidents, and system disruptions.
• Coordinate system upgrades, implementations, maintenance, and technology projects.
• Manage IT vendors, service providers, licenses, and technology contracts.
• Conduct regular system and security reviews and ensure identified issues are addressed.
• Maintain proper IT documentation, asset registers, and system records.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required IT documentation and evidence.
• Develop business continuity and IT disaster recovery plans and coordinate periodic testing.
• Lead and supervise IT staff and provide technical guidance where required.
• Prepare regular IT performance, risk, and compliance reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Proven experience working in a regulated environment is a MUST.
• Experience in banking, insurance, SACCOs, financial institutions, or similarly regulated organizations is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and data protection.
• Experience supporting regulatory and internal audits.
• Good understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
